However, the area is not uniformly zoned—residential pockets exist throughout. Properties in pink zones can obtain Airbnb permits directly; yellow zones PROHIBIT short-term rentals for foreign owners/PT PMA—OSS rejects tourism permits. Indonesian citizens may qualify for Pondok Wisata. Long-term rental (12+ months) is an option for all. Note: nominee arrangements are illegal.
